What we offer:
We want to ensure our organization provides multiple ways to teach these students about professionalism, while creating community and connections. To do that, we offer two things: the CareerBump program & the CareerBump conferences.
Qualifications
Who can apply?

First-Generation which includes:​

Those who identify as an immigrant or have immigrant parents and are first generation Americans and/or women of color and black women who will be one of the first in their family to go to college.

For our program: Sophomore, Juniors, and Seniors in High School

For our Conference: High School + College students

When to apply and how long is the program?
Timeline

Applications for our conference are now open here! Applications for our conference are due Dec. 31st, 2025. The conference will be held on Feb. 1st, 2026.

Applications for our program will open in December and will close at the end of February.

Our program runs from March to May.

We will meet virtually every week on Wednesday from 7-8PM ET.

Each session will cover a specific topic. The session topic list can be found here.

Additionally, we will have a range of optional special session topics such as Public Speaking 101, Industry Specific Q&A, etc.

What to Expect:
For our conference:
​
- Each conference will be held in person to reflect the theme of that year.
- Get ready to meet peers and guest speakers who are ready to answer all your questions.
- Our conferences are free and include a full day of programming, goodie bags, food, and access to some cool spaces in Georgia!
- These conferences usually focus on items we either don't get to cover in the program, or dive deeper into key elements of professionalism we touch on in the program.
- Come with all the curiosity and excitement!
For our program:

- Each session will be virtual and a combination of a small presentation to explain the topic, and then the second half will be an activity to practice or work on the topic discussed.
- We will have mentors on each call to ensure you get all the help and assistance you may need.
- At the end of the program, we have a celebratory meeting to highlight all your accomplishments!
- Take away from the program will include a full set of documents, skills, and tools you'll need to kick off your career and equip you with the confidence to apply for internships.
